Stokvis has launched Econostor II hot water service generator. It is based on a dual-tank principle: neutral primary fluid between an outer tank and an inner tank indirectly heats water in the inner tank for secondary hot water use. The neutral fluid is heated by a combustion chamber and flue ways and can also be used to provide heating. The Econostor II can serve as a hot water service generator and heating provider. Sizes range from 37 kW to a maximum of 92 kW.
2. Flexible heaters
Nordair's DV/DH direct gas-fired unit heaters are suitable for small commercial and industrial applications requiring both heating and make-up air for a balanced environment. Where air is extracted from the building, the DV/DH heaters ensure replacement fresh or tempered air is distributed evenly.
For indoor applications, eight standard sizes are available, with heat outputs ranging from 50 kW to 395 kW and airflows from 0·5 m3/s to 7·2 m3/s.
3. Best of both worlds
MHS boilers launched its Regency Premix range of boilers comprising six models with outputs from 70 kW to 250 kW. The pre-mix burner modulates between 60% and 100%, giving clean flue gas emissions in the range of <70 mg/KWh NOx and <30 mg/kWh CO, and allows efficiencies in the range of 92·5% net to be returned. It can be installed individually, or in a modular arrangement to optimise fuel consumption and energy efficiency.
4. Accentuating modulation
Heating specialist Ygnis is introducing a high efficiency condensing modulating boiler in two models, Varino and Varino Grande. The modulation on the Varino Grande from 8% to 100% allows almost continuous operation of the burner which optimises annual efficiency. Both models have an oxygen sensor, giving high combustion quality and perfect flame characteristics
5. Turning up the heat
Potterton Commercial is increasing the output of the biggest boiler in its Derwent Compact modular range. Output will increase from 112 kW to 116 kW with corresponding increases across the range. The boiler is now available in five sizes from 50 kW to 116 kW.
The Derwent Compact offers a combination of cast iron heat exchanger, burners and controls giving claimed operating efficiency of 90·7% (net) and 81·7% (gross). The boiler also offers low NOx levels, generating less than 70 mg NOx per kW/h.
