There are eight management principles underlying ISO 9001: 2000

  • involvement of people
  • a process approach to management
  • a system approach to management
  • continual improvement
  • a factual approach to decision making
  • mutually beneficial supplier relationships
The cut-off date for the new standard is 15 December 2003.
