Leeds based consultancy, Environmental Design Associates has won a Queen's Award for Enterprise in sustainable development.

The Award recognises the company's work in designing environmentally friendly buildings, and providing advice on sustainability to other organisations.

LEDA is a small consultancy, with only three full time directors: services engineer and energy consultant Matthew Hill; mechanical engineer James Haigh, and architect Jonathan Lindh.

LEDA promotes designs which reduce energy consumption in buildings.

The firm has worked on theatres, offices, workshops, and community centres.
