Wychavon council in Worcestershire could, apparently.
It has refused former postmaster David Miller and his wife Sue planning permission to convert the post office part of their house in Cropthorne.
It's all about changing the use of the room and Wychavon's commitment to maintaining village shops and post offices, it explained.
Now the Millers will have to prove that the post office is no longer viable before planning permission will be granted.
