Flooring company Altro has introduced recycled PVC to its Altro Walkway and Altro Impressionist safety flooring, adding an extra 10% recycled content to the recycled glass already used in all its safety flooring products.

The new process involves recycled chips being strewn across the surface of the undercoat of the two products. Altro states that the changes have no effect on the quality or performance of the product.

The company has been working towards increasing the recycled content of its safety flooring and claims to have installed the world’s first in-house safety flooring recycling facility, allowing it to recycle all PVC factory waste. www.altro6steps.com
