RED CAP GANG: Southampton council’s junior neighbourhood wardens joined a community safety orienteering event last Friday.

Twenty-five youngsters used maps and clues to follow a course, answering community safety questions at each site they visited.

The junior wardens help with local jobs such as picking up litter and cleaning up grafitti.

In return, the council organises sports events and prize draws for them.
