Northern Ireland is set to become the template for change in UK construction and the champion for increased investment in the industry.
In April, Sir John Egan launched the first in a network of Rethinking Construction regional centres at the University of Ulster in Belfast.
“Northern Ireland has continued to provide a model for the UK and industry across Europe – first with the success of its demonstration project programme and now with the delivery of the first regional centre for Rethinking Construction,” said Egan.
The event also marked the start of a regionally-based Rethinking Construction programme for the rest of the UK, with the aim of reaching out to local organisations, in particular local councils.
