Rehau has developed a new electric underfloor heating solution which it says is ideal for use in conservatories.

Solelec is based on a series of high performance cables which can be laid either below the floor screed during construction or interwoven into textile mats directly below tile glue. They are available in a range of sizes for virtually any size of conservatory and are supplied with easy to install and easy to operate digital thermostats to control both floor and room temperature.

Malcolm Taylor, the marketing manager for the new system, says: ‘Electric underfloor heating is rapidly becoming the heating system of choice in conservatories. It is fast and easy to fit during construction by the same electrician who is typically already on site to fit fans, lights and sockets and it gives homeowners complete flexibility in how they use their conservatories afterwards.’
