Remembering mnemonics

I respond to Robin Campbell’s challenge (Back in Our Day, QS News, 1 July) in finding a new mnemonic for remembering sines, cosines and tangents etc. I was taught that ‘Signs Of Happiness Come After Having Tankards Of Ale’. As a 12 year old I couldn't vouch for its accuracy at the time but nearly 30 years on I cannot only confirm that it is indeed true, but also the jingle served its purpose!
