SAFE TOUCH: Neighbourhood wardens in north Manchester are set to benefit from mobile phones with a special ‘SOS’ alarm button. One press will alert the council’s incident response unit – and monitoring technology will pinpoint the wardens’ exact location without them saying a word. SOS calls will be recorded and can be used in evidence in court.
