safety first: The Cathedral Group has signed a £60m PPP contract to build a community fire station and safety centre at Canary Wharf in east London. The contract is the first to be signed with the London Fire & Emergency Planning Authority and is entirely funded by the private sector. The scheme includes 175 residential units, some 25% of which is made up of affordable social housing.
