Jephson revamp finished
The £2.5m remodelling of 10 Jephson Homes sheltered schemes for the elderly has been completed. The Housing Corporation supplied half of the project's funding, with the remainder raised by Jephson. The works at each scheme were tailored to the particular requirements of its tenants and included converting outdated bedsits to create separate bedrooms and the refurbishment and redesign of communal areas.

Rural project opens
Tynedale Housing has opened a new affordable rural housing scheme in the Northumberland village of Ovingham. The £195,000 development comprises three three-bedroom houses. Some 51 families have already applied for a tenancy in the three homes.

Three green homes built
East Hampshire Housing Association has replaced dilapidated concrete garages with three environmentally friendly homes on land near the district's Firgrove estate. The homes use highly insulated timber-frame construction.
