NewSchools consortium, comprising WS Atkins, Innisfree and Wates PFI Investments, has been selected as preferred bidder for the schools PFI project in the London Borough of Merton.
The contract is for new build extensions, refurbishments, alterations and backlog maintenance of accommodation for six schools.
Wates Construction will be responsible for the design, construction and refurbishment of the schools, while Innisfree will provide investment capital.
WS Atkins will be responsible for design services, lifecycle advice and the facilities management services over the 25-year contract period.
