Unique to Schüco International, AvanTec is a new range of concealed hinge fittings which the company is now offering on its Royal S and Royal C ranges of aluminium windows. By obviating the need for bulky exposed hinges, an AvanTec fitting gives Schüco windows a narrow inner face width and a look that is streamlined, crisp and modern.

Manufactured from stainless steel, load-bearing components, an AvanTec fitting can support a vent of up to 130kg. It may be used in conjunction with Schüco’s electronic window opening system and, despite all the added benefits, there is no price premium over standard surface-mounted fittings, it is claimed. AvanTec allows a window to open to 90 degrees, so protecting neighbouring glass from damage by the vent swinging back on itself. Also, when it is in the fully open position, the vent remains positioned next to the frame thereby creating a larger opening and removing the danger of fingers becoming trapped in ‘pinch points’.

A concealed fitting for is also available for Schüco’s Royal S 65 and 70 doors.
