A four corner crimping machine (pictured) designed to dramatically increase profit margins by reducing the time needed to fabricate aluminium windows and unitised façades elements, is new from the major building envelope specialist, Schüco International.

Designed to accommodate frame sizes up to 5 x 4 metres, the new Schüco machine dramatically reduces fabrication because it allows all four corners of a frame to be crimped simultaneously in just 42 seconds. Not only this, but the quality and rigidity of the frame are improved by a simultaneous ‘pulse' action that distributes any error in the mitre caused when cutting, so facilitating a perfect alignment of the mitre at each corner.

The four corner crimper also means that both crimping and lifting of the finished frame (the machine comes with its own lifting device) become a one-man operation even for very large frames.
