Southern Electric Contracting (SEC) has acquired Yorkshire-based plumbing and heating contractor Harrison Smith (Batley).
The acquisition will allow the firm to expand its range of m&e services in the north of England.
The Batley-based firm employs 50 staff. Almost half of its £4 million turnover is from social housing schemes; the remainder is office and residential refurbishments.
The acquisition follows that of Eastern Contracting in 2005, which has now been fully integrated into the firm.
