Second City (UPVC) Systems, based in Tipton, West Midlands, celebrated its 18th anniversary recently at a time when business is apparently booming for the Rehau trade fabricator.

The company has made its name alongside Rehau since 1988 so it was fitting that Wolfgang Gorner, the systems supplier's Business Unit Manager was at the event to present a bottle of 18 year old malt whisky with which the team could toast both their previous and current success.

Second City supplies trade customers across the Midlands and further afield. It is planning ahead for the next 18 years and has invested recently in new machinery including a Rotox corner cleaner and Haffner saw centre and has appointed Steve Flavell as its new Production Manager. Andrew Thompson, Second City's Chairman, said of the birthday event:

‘Second City is growing really fast at the moment and is not only surviving the current market downturn but is really thriving. We have continued to invest both in our infrastructure and our people and, after 18 successful years, we are confident that our products and service are just what the trade market wants.'
