According to Securicor, the system offers the potential to provide training for over 6,000 members of staff.
The aim of the e-learning system is to improve the performance and service levels of both individuals and the company as a whole. In practice, each branch is being allocated a dedicated work station where officers can keep track of their own personal development. Access to learning materials is available round-the-clock, such that training can be accommodated in line with shift patterns.
Some of the training will be set in a ‘virtual branch’, where employees will be able to select relevant activities from their own department. Initially, the training will focus on ‘hard’ skills, including the use of computerised systems.
Securicor Cash Services is the UK’s leading provider of Cash-in-Transit services to end users. The company transports well over £300 billion each year for all of the major UK banks and building societies.
