Arguably, the Security and Counter-Terrorism Group of TPS is the world leader when it comes to the design of bomb-proof buildings. Recent landmark projects include Portcullis House, Terminal 5 at Heathrow, much of the latest phase of Canary Wharf and the new buildings for GCHQ in Cheltenham. The company's 19 dedicated staff have over 250 years of accumulated experience covering everything from initial reviews through to system design and the project management of major installations. TPS has designed more than £22 million worth of security systems in the past year alone.

Set up by two former policemen, Maurice Parsons and Laurie Doust, the firm has advised a wide range of clients – taking in the healthcare, pharmaceuticals and warehousing sectors as well as local authorities and charities. The consultancy also acts as the Secretariat for the Association of Security Consultants (ASC), the UK's only professional association for independent consultants. Gordon Wilson Associates
Chris Gordon Wilson has been active in the industry on many fronts. His projects for 2000-2001 include several challenging schemes in the Middle East. He has also carried out a CCTV survey, plan and specification for Entebbe Airport in Uganda. A key player in the ASC and vice chairman of the JSIC, Wilson's work relates to security engineering for access control and CCTV, aviation security and IT security systems.
