Fears are growing in the security industry that compulsory regulation of security firms and guards will not be included in the Queen's Speech on the 6th December.
BSIA c hairman David Cowden, writing in the November issue of security industry body BSIA's newsletter Spectrum, says that if security regulation is not included 'it is likely to be at least two years before it has another chance'.

If this is the case, says Cowden, influential members of the security industry will have to push for alternative measures themselves.
