HHomelessness among MINORITY ethnic communities is rising more than twice as fast as in the general population, according to Shelter
The Black and Ethnic Minority Housing Crisis, a report published by the charity on Wednesday, said homelessness among BME households had risen 77% since 1997. The overall rise is 34%.
BME families are more likely to live in poor housing, with more than half of children from Bangladeshi backgrounds living in overcrowded homes.
