Two prestigious developments at London’s Canary Wharf have benefited from glazing products and systems from D R Services. DS3 is a 14 storey office building which includes a seven storey atrium, two levels of trading floors and extensive retail areas which are connected to the existing shopping centre network. DS4, or 20 Canada Square, is on the south east corner of Canada Square and is paired with DS3. This building takes a metallic skin with glass approach, and includes two south facing atria.

For DS3, D R Services manufactured and installed 10 slide and stack shop fronts and four fixed glass shop fronts for the developments, which were designed by architects Skidmore, Owings and Merrill for the Canary Wharf Group.

For the middle two units, D R Services supplied a bespoke 16 metre long curved track with stainless steel rails for frameless glass sliding panels. The whole momentum of the development’s design is a combination of masonry and glass, which anchors the northeast elevation of Canada Square with the glazing of the retail units, mirroring the rest of the development.

D R Services also worked on DS4, which has now been completed. The company made minor alterations to a sliding stack frameless glass wall which had been installed a few years previously. This involved modifying and shortening the feature to the architect’s specifications. DS3 is due for completion later this year.

D R Services offers an extensive range of shop front fittings, both single and double glazed with toughened or laminated glass, and provides a full design and installation package.
