The Chartered Institute of Housing is working on a new good practice guide on housing and related services for asylum seekers and refugees.
Funded by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, the guide will bring together practical advice and examples for the whole of the UK.
Landlords that don’t currently provide similar services will be able to use the guide to set up and start offering them.
We are especially keen to hear about innovative services in smaller cities or rural towns, and those instigated by small or medium-sized housing associations. Services that have been developed in conjunction with users, and involving local communities, are of particular interest.
So could any readers who have examples in their own organisation or in their areas please email me about them.
