Siemens Building Technologies Cerberus Division has acquired the UK business interests of Preussag Fire Protection.
Siemens has added a range of fire extinguishing capabilities to its fire detection products as a result of the merger. It can now offer a complete detection and protection package.
A £40 million business has been created by the merger, operating under the Siemens name. Preussag Fire Protection will no longer be used as a UK brandname as of 3 November 2000.
The merger has ensured a stronger regional network and a strong presence in Ireland.
