Canadian manufacturer Silent Witness has bought the CCTV Products Division of Gyyr.
The move will link Gyyr's recording and networking technologies with the distinct line of Silent Witness cameras.
"The security industry is rapidly consolidating and moving to digital technology," commented Rob Bakshi, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Silent Witness.
"This transaction gives us competitive advantages in terms of proprietary storage technology, a complementary suite of products and diversified sales channels."
