M&E engineer road tests loos

Nottingham building services engineer Skerritt has teamed up with the award-winning Channel 4 TV programme Embarrassing Bodies to look at the way we use our loo.

The company, which fits more than 5000 toilets every year, was asked by the BAFTA winning health show to help demonstrate to the nation how our toilet habits could change for the better.

Skerritt offered themselves up to test out three methods thought to be better toilet techniques, including adopting a squat position used in many Asian and African countries.

Skerritt operations director Mark Radford said: “It was embarrassing for us but people trust the show for its great medical advice and this is a serious issue that we wanted to support.”

The show, which is now in its third series, will be shown on Channel 4 early next year.
