This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by Georgia Hamilton of Granit Architects.
Project leader Emily Osler says: “With London’s need to ‘build denser’ intensifying, as architects we’ll need to adapt to ensure we’re always optimising the city’s unused airspace. In this sketch, the airspace is located above a busy car park.”
This sketch contributed to an in-house competition at Granit Architects to find creative and innovative ways of utilising London’s unused airspace while retaining the original purpose and function of the existing space below.
