This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by Paul Holden, director at Peak Architects. He says: “The concept sketch has been prepared for a hydro plant on the river Derwent in Derbyshire; this will be one of a pair located on existing weirs. Working closely with English Heritage and in the context of the Peak District National Park and a grade I-listed house, Peak Architects are developing concepts for the housing for the transformer and turbine housing for an Archimedes’ Screw-type water hydro plant.
