Construction firm Mowlem has made the Autodesk Buzzsaw online collaborative project management solution central to a £94 million Private Finance Initiative (PFI) project to design and build six schools in Exeter for Devon County Council.
The project involves the rebuilding of all the secondary schools in Exeter and one primary school. The system has helped to ensure the schools are completed on time - the first one in the PFI opened early, five months ahead of schedule.
Buzzsaw stores drawings and the project documents securely on an online site that can be accessed by authorised team members. All actions are being logged, providing a complete audit of any changes. It is being accessed by around 800 users, with an average of 4000 log-ins per month. Through Buzzsaw a complete picture of where the project stands at any given time is possible, helping to create an open project environment.
