Dimplex is launching a range of solar hot water kits which include a number of features to make installation faster

A new aluminium absorber sheet gives optimum heat transfer combined with low weight, while double O-ring push-fit pipe connections and flexible insulated stainless-steel hoses allow quick installation, leaving the pipes in the loft ready for the plumber to connect at a later stage. Trades can thus work independently.

The new O-ring connections also allow up to 10 panels to be connected in series for larger projects, giving a total plate collector area of 21.5 m2.

The range also offers a choice of roof-mounting options. An integrated roof mounting is available for a sleek profile while an add-on flashing kit will conceal pipework.

The panels and roofing kits can be installed either portrait or landscape using the same roof fixing brackets. This means fewer parts for the installer to worry about, and the option to change layout at the last minute.

Each Dimplex 2m2 collector plate has a gross collector area of 2.15 m2, more than required by SAP default scores.

The range is also solar keymarked, so householders qualify for government grants for installations under the Low-Carbon Buildings Programme.
