For a full overhaul of your energy management you may profit from a coaching session, but here are 10 tips in the meantime to help you keep on top of your game...

Mot for brain and body

  • To concentrate, your brain uses fructose supplied by your liver. It runs out after 45 minutes of continual effort..
  • ...So eat a decent breakfast. Include slow-release fuel like cereals and fruit
  • Avoid biscuits. Snack on dried fruit to keep your brain and liver topped up (but beware of the sometimes dramatic effects of some dried fruit, like prunes!
  • Exercise for 30 minutes, three times per week
  • Get a good night’s sleep
  • Have a chiropractic check up. A straight back allows undistorted signals to reach your organs
  • Sort out issues with colleagues. Psychological baggage can weigh you down
  • Be clear on the purpose of your job, and the purpose of your life
  • Be clear on your values and stick to them
  • Drink two litres of water per day. Every 1% loss of hydration leads to 20% loss of thinking capacity
