Future events in the Gleneagles Hotel's ballroom will be transformed by a new audio system from AVC.
Refurbishments to the ballroom of the Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland have transformed it into an ideal venue for events from conferences to live performances and gala evenings.

These improvements include the installation of an integrated audio system. Edinburgh-based AVC designed and installed this system using Bi-Amp's digital audio platform Audia.

AVC worked in collaboration with Bi-Amp supplier Beyerdynamic to specify a system that allows a multitude of preset sound configurations to be recalled via a touch screen. The Audia system has been integrated with a wireless AMX touch screen, plus three control panels wall-mounted around the ballroom; these control points make it easy to adjust sound levels and direction.

The system was configured on a pc then downloaded to Audia, which packages the audio components into a single 2U unit.

AVC system designer Douglas Bolton said of the system: "By virtue of its innate flexibility, Audia offers the hotel's in-house technical team the capacity to augment the system when necessary, enabling it to meet the demands of the most complex audio-visual presentation."
