St Mungo's not looking to double up

Re: "Let them eat cake" (13 February, page 11). The life research carried out by ORC International has enabled St Mungo's to focus on where the organisation needs to increase its support so that the numbers of people helped are doubled.

If St Mungo's can double the funding for life skills work – an area that is very difficult to resource – then it may be possible to help twice as many people to live more independently.

However, St Mungo's is not looking to double the scale of its operations.
