The second National Training Awards for the hvacr industry were presented in London on 6 March.
Heading the winners' list were Daniel Farrell and Deborah Russell of Lorne Stewart and WSP North respectively, who each received two awards.
Farrell was named Apprentice Service and Maintenance Engineer of the Year and the National Craft Apprentice. Russell won the Incorporated Engineer of the Year and National Student Engineer sections. Both were championed as stars of the future and an inspiration to new industry entrants.
Event host, Stuart Lyon, chairman of the National Training Forum, expressed the value of the awards: "The winners have been chosen by peers who have worked for most or all of their lives in the industry. It is a real achievement and they should be very proud of their awards."
