Stop this bureaucratic nonsense

I can’t believe that, not content with the bureaucratic mess it has already created from sheltered housing’s perspective, the ODPM’s latest Supporting People gem seems to be a requirement to convert communal window cleaning costs into an “hourly rate” for cost comparison. What about the zero hourly rates paid to us for the staff doing these extra, meaningless sums?

The ODPM also seems to have decided that as it never works on bank holidays, neither does anybody else. Whoopee – it can now squeeze more savings out of our pensioner tenants (who pay in the end, directly or indirectly) in an attempt to salvage one of the biggest mistakes made by the ODPM.
