All-glass automatic sliding doors and screens with slim 30mm aluminium sections from Structura UK Ltd, curtain wall engineering specialist, have given a fresh, light, modern appearance to the busy entrance of 101 St Martins Lane, London.
The seven-storey office building has had a major £5 million refurbishment and modernisation programme completed to designs by Mellersh & Harding, surveyors and architects.
One set of automatic doors has replaced an old, manual revolving door and a second set forms a new lobby area leading into the building's reception area.
The doors and screens consist of an integral system of 10mm clear, toughened, glazed units, manufactured, supplied and installed by Structura UK. The measurements are approximately 3.70 metres high x 5m wide.
The design of the reception area and lift foyer was by Sturgis Associates LLP, architects. The main contractor was Durkan Pudelek Ltd.
