SummitSkills has launched a UK-wide initiative to find building services ambassadors.

The Sector Skills Council for building services engineering wants practitioners within the sector to become ambassadors for their profession, and to pass their expertise and work experiences onto the next generation.

The Ambassadors Scheme is open to anyone within the sector and aims to inspire and motivate young people interested in building services.

Keith Marshall, SummitSkills’ chief executive, said: “It is an opportunity to help steer the future of building services engineering by inspiring young people, sharing personal experiences, and motivating new entrants.”

Those who sign up will be expected to represent the industry at events at least once a year. For more information go to www.summitskills.org.uk . Alternatively, call 01908 303 960 to request a brochure.
