SummitSkills is to sponsor the Training Academy at this year’s M&E Event, which takes place at Earls Court on 23-24 November 2005.

The Academy’s themes include sustainability, the workforce of the future, designing for occupant comfort, health and safety, M&E 2030, and chp. Speakers will also be talking about two of the UK’s most interesting construction projects: T5 and the Evelina Childrens’ Hospital. Delegates will be able to add to their technical knowledge and learn of new business ideas springing from edicts such as Part L.

Simon Bartley, chair of SummitSkills, said: “Training for work in construction can’t be like a driving licence, which you sit once and never again. You have a duty to clients to ensure that you have the most up-to-date knowledge. The role of SummitSkills is to encourage continual education and professional education and the M&E Event is the logical place for us to demonstrate these aims.”
