The long-awaited breakdown of funding for Supporting People pipeline schemes has been delayed for a fortnight.
The announcement, which would clarify funding for supported housing schemes starting on site by March 2006, was expected this week – but is now likely to take place on 14 May.

Funding for existing schemes in England was announced in February.

Existing projects in Northern Ireland were awarded £153m of Supporting People funding last week, one month after the regime began.

Associations in Northern Ireland will be paid on 6 May with further payments in arrears, unlike English associations who are paid in advance.

The Northern Ireland Housing Executive – which pays the associations and issues contracts as councils do in England – has not yet issued a final contract for the associations to sign.
