The Sustainability Forum, in partnership with Constructing Excellence is to submit recommendations to the DTI in its review of the Strategy for Sustainable Construction.
The new strategy will be based on the government’s earlier document ‘Building a Better Quality of Life’ published in 2000 and will focus on three areas: what progress has been made in promoting sustainable construction, where current practice and priorities lie and how sustainable construction is developing.
Ian Coull, chairman of the Sustainability Forum says: “It is our intention that the Sustainability Forum recommendations will align all areas of government in a clear strategy that addresses the key issues surrounding sustainability and performance for years to come.”
- Constructing Excellence and the Construction Client’s Group have merged. The new body will campaign to support private and public sector customers by promoting best practice and improved business performance.
