British Transport Police used Petards' Swift wireless mobile camera system to monitor crowds at the showpiece Community Shield football match between Arsenal and Manchester United at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
The stadium is very close to the central railway station and overcrowding within the confines of the station frontage can easily occur and disorder ensue. To help avoid incidents occurring, the Swift cameras allowed the police to see what was happening in real time and take action effectively and efficiently.

The Swift camera system was chosen for its ability to be moved quickly and easily. Proposed new buildings and future alterations to the railway station would also have compromised any hard-wired system.

Sgt Colin Bryan commented: "The volume of people within such a small area has always been a problem here. This system is high quality and the coverage enables us to see all the potential problems arising."
