Swisspacer is the European Warm Edge market leader with an estimated market share of more than 20 per cent, it is claimed.
Having strengthened its position in the east European and Nordic countries as well as Germany and France, this Saint-Gobain Business Unit is now focusing on developing sales in the UK.
The Swisspacer business unit will provide two products: Swisspacer and Swisspacer-V. Both are made in a synthetic material with 35% glass fibre content. This material is then covered with ultra thin foils of aluminium (Swisspacer) or stainless steel (Swisspacer-V).
Swisspacer offers a full range of accessories, from Vienna Georgian Bars to coloured corner keys.
Solaglas was the first company in the UK to offer Swisspacer units. Having recently completed a re-assessment of the UK Warm Edge market, it is now promoting Swisspacer more extensively and is assisting its customers in achieving good Window Energy Ratings. Solaglas will soon be followed by distributors and other IGU manufacturers.
According to Kathryn Dalgleish, Marketing Manager of Solaglas, and Matthew Kershaw, Commercial Manager of Solaglas Leeds, Swisspacer is the most appropriate product to satisfy UK demand.
