T Clarke has announced that it is to close down its loss-making subsidiary Meggitt Marsh & Co.
The business will be run down and operations will cease at the end of the year.

T Clarke bought Meggitt Marsh from the receivers in June 1998. The company says that despite significant financial investment in both marketing and resources, there is no sign of a return to profitability in the foreseeable future, so the business will be folded.

Meggitt Marsh had a turnover of around £2 million last year but losses are thought to run into tens of thousands of pounds.

T Clarke's coverage of the south of England will be maintained from the group's Kent and Bristol offices.

Other T Clarke subsidiaries are said to be trading in line with forecasts, with new businesses performing well.
