The Commission on London Governance is undertaking a major review of London’s political structures.
As part of this, we are asking a cross-section of people in the capital whether changes are required in the way public services, including housing, are run.
We’d like to hear the views of London’s housing professionals on how current political arrangements help or hinder service delivery – your responses could help shape the future of housing services in the capital.
A number of factors make this a fitting time to review of London’s regional government – declining voter participation in elections;
the more extensive mixed market in public services; the impact of housing expansion in the Thames Gateway; and the implications of a successful 2012 Olympic bid will all test governance arrangements in the capital.
