The council will be letting a new partnering contract for responsive repairs at the beginning of the financial year. Resident representatives have been involved in the specification of the contract and will be full partners throughout the procurement process. The main aim of the new contract will be to deliver increased customer satisfaction.
Security and quality of life issues are very important to the council. Improved CCTV, a new housing response team and an extended community warden service have been targeted at the problems highlighted in Eden's letter. We work very closely with statutory and voluntary agencies to tackle the difficulties associated with problem neighbours and mental health issues.
