LG's new Multi M air conditioning split solution aims to provide an energy efficient solution with the option of using the Art Cool units.

The Multi M, multi-split system from LG offers a comfort cooling-only or heat and cooling option when used with the firm's Art Cool or wall-mounted indoor units. An energy efficient solution, Multi M is suited to use in various applications including restaurants, retail spaces and executive offices.

The outdoor units use MPS variable control, which uses single-phase electricity with two compressors working at 40 and 60%, rather than conventional ones working at 100%. This enables energy savings of up to 35% to be achieved. Depending on the load conditions, either one or two compressors will run to achieve the desired setpoint temperatures. One compressor is needed to meet low demand, both are needed to achieve high demand levels.

The outdoor units offer cooling-only and cooling/heating modes, with capacities ranging from 4·2-8·7 kW for cooling and 4·2-9·6 kW for heating/cooling. All outdoor units feature a Gold Fin surface on the heat exchanger to prolong its working life.

A maximum of four indoor units can be run from one outdoor unit. This can be a combination of the firm's wall-mounted or Art Cool products. Both types of indoor unit includes features such as the Jet Cool, for fast cooling; and the Nano Cannon Ball for air deodorising.
