Anyone who has a connection with the Security Management programmes at the Universities of Loughborough or Leicester will know Keith Hearnden who pioneered the Postgraduate Security and Risk Management programme at Loughborough.
Past students of the programme will recognise the content, although it has been written as an aid to the general business manager as opposed to security manager. Still, you should consider buying it for three reasons: Firstly, for its coverage of progressive, modern and proactive security management. Secondly, for the excellent case studies. Thirdly, for the reference notes as a guide to further research.
Despite its limitations in depth, as one of the limited number of security books written from a UK perspective, it should be in the possession of everyone who considers himself or herself to be a security management professional.
