Like many readers, I imagine, I was taken aback by the idea of a tenant’s window falling out and not being replaced for 28 days (Measure for Measure, 8 April, page 26).
The tenant, who has been with us for 27 years, reassured us by telling us that a piece at the bottom of the window fell out as our joiner examined it, and was immediately temporarily repaired.
There was a delay in replacing the whole window, but we’ve since made better arrangements.
