Bystronic demonstrated various new machinery models at Glassstec. These included:
First’arris, an automatic vertical arrissing machine for rectangles and shapes with straight edges and cup wheel technology;
First’tps, an IG production line for thermoplastic ‘warm edge’ spacer TPS incorporating: loader, first’arris, visionmaster (automatic visual inline inspection) turner (90° turning station), applicator (direct application of the thermoplastic spacer) and assembler;
Spacerbender, a fast spacer bending machine for unfilled aluminium profiles;
Desiccantfiller, an automatic desiccant filling station;
Smart’verticut, a vertical shape cutting machine for float and low-E glass by cutting subplate by subplate, modularly designed with automatic X-breaking and manual Y- and Z-breaking, up to 30% increased yield by solving the problem of left-over sheets;
Feeder, an automatic subplate feeder for vertical glass cutting machines, integrated as supplementary module in the smart’verticut;
Smart’lamicut, an entry-level solution for cutting of laminated glass with automatically controlled processing steps;
Handling equipment.
Gas testing
Glasstec was also the platform for Bystronic Glass UK to launch new technology in the Smartfil range of products for gas filling IG units, with the Communication Module for on-line Argon readings, the Iso-Gas Indicator non-invasive Argon fill measurement device, and the Iso-Ug-Meter measurement device which determines the insulation value of installed glazing.
