Construction’s last words on movers, shakers and makers

Relocation, relocation

Word reaches us of a possible geographic move by QS giant Gardiner & Theobald in the capital. It’s believed the firm will soon be taking up some extra space within throwing distance of its present Bedford Square HQ on Tottenham Court Road. The long-term plan could see the firm move wholesale to the new office. We trust that this plan will not deprive the industry of the company’s legendary annual drinks do in Bedford Square itself.

The ones to watch

We were very disappointed to see that there were no representatives of the QS or PM world in the prestigious Mover and Shaker of the Year awards. Must do better next year, lads and lasses. The shortlist included Nick Linnott (pictured in cheesy pose) and Bob Day from architects BDGWorkfutures and Broadway Malyan respectively;

Nick Findlay and Abi Williams from contractors HBG and BW Interiors; and Victoria Connell from PR firm, the Holistic Group.
